Full-time | Poland | Sales – Energy Storage Systems (ESS) 
 
Position Summary 
The Sales Manager Energy Storage Solutions is responsible for driving localized business development and market expansion for battery energy storage solutions across Poland. The role owns the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract closure and payment collection, while building long-term customer relationships and a regional sales network. This position is an individual contributor role with strong commercial ownership, close collaboration with PV Sales teams, and a hands-on execution focus in a fast-growing market environment. 
 
Reporting Line 
Reports to the Regional Sales Director 
 
Major Responsibilities 
  • Drive localized market development and business expansion for energy storage solutions across Poland 
  • Own the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through contract negotiation, signature, project delivery coordination, and payment collection 
  • Develop and manage relationships with key customers, including developers, EPCs, IPPs, utilities, energy traders, and industrial customers 
  • Collaborate closely with PV Sales teams to maintain customer relationships, expand sales channels, and enable cross-selling of integrated PV + ESS solutions 
  • Identify upsell opportunities such as system expansion, EMS upgrades, and additional service offerings 
  • Build and maintain a strong regional sales network and pipeline to achieve annual sales targets 
  • Support localized brand promotion by attending regional trade shows, industry exhibitions, and technical forums 
  • Organize customer factory visits, technical seminars, and solution presentations in coordination with Technical and HQ teams 
  • Monitor market developments, regulatory frameworks, and subsidy schemes related to energy storage in Poland and the wider CEE region 
  • Engage with key stakeholders to understand capacity market mechanisms, grid requirements, and customer operational needs 
  • Coordinate with HQ and overseas teams on product promotion, technical alignment, and strategic initiatives 

Performance Indicators 
  • Achievement of annual sales targets (revenue, margin, project volume) 
  • Number and quality of successfully closed ESS projects 
  • Sales pipeline development and forecast accuracy 
  • Timely contract execution and payment collection 
  • Growth of customer base and repeat business 
  • Cross-selling and upselling success rate 
  • Regional market penetration and channel development 

Your profile

Required Qualifications 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Energy, or a related field 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in overseas or regional sales of ESS, PCS, EMS, or related energy storage solutions 
  • Proven experience managing energy storage or complex energy projects independently across the full project lifecycle 
  • Strong understanding of ESS architecture, including: Battery cells, Battery Management Systems (BMS), Power Conversion Systems (PCS), Energy Management Systems (EMS)  
  • Ability to independently interpret technical specifications and commercial proposals 
  • Solid knowledge of international trade practices, including: INCOTERMS 2020, Letters of Credit (L/C), Performance bonds, Export credit insurance  
  • Business-fluent English and Polish (C1 level)

  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills with demonstrated deal-closing capability 
  • Ability to independently manage opportunities from lead generation through payment collection 
  • High level of execution ownership; hands-on, results-driven mindset 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including ability to engage with energy managers, technical decision-makers, and C-level executives 
  • Ability to quickly understand and adapt to regulatory, subsidy, capacity market, and grid-code changes in Poland and the broader EU / CEE region 
  • Strong resilience and adaptability in high-travel, fast-paced, and multicultural environments 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset suitable for growth-stage or market-entry environments
Travel Requirement 
Frequent travel within Poland and neighbouring CEE markets 
Occasional international travel for customer visits, exhibitions, and internal coordination
